When did it start?
Father’s Day has been celebrated in the United States - Washington since 1910. It was introduced in the UK from the United States by Sonora Smart Dodd. Inspired by the Americans Mother’s Day, Sonora decided to plan a day in honour of Fathers.
What are the traditional gifts that are bought on Father’s Day?
We are all a little guilty of leaving Father’s Day gifts to the last minute.
Common gifts which our dad’s end up with are ties, socks, underwear, slippers, jumpers and other items of clothing which are all usually pretty solid buys. But surely we can offer something a little different this year?
We at Pretty’s Sweets think gifting your dad a box of our sweets or fudge will definitely make his day a lot sweeter! We are confident that when dad opens his Pretty’s Sweet or Fudge box, he will be placing a repeat order himself!
Why our Father’s Day boxes and treats make it extra special
We thought long and hard deciding on our Father’s Day collection. We wanted to cater to all budgets and also to sweet and fudge lovers.
Our most popular box ‘The Candy Shop’ was a must to have in the Father’s Day gift collection.
Next came the Father’s Day Fudge box with flavours that remind us of our dads. Nutty, chocolatey and bold, the Father’s Day fudge box packs some of our most exceptional fudge offerings including salted caramel, rum and raisin, oreo and maple and walnut.
Lastly, The Father’s Day Sweet Jar came to life as we know many dads love their hard-boiled sweets.
All of the boxes at Pretty’s Sweets will be personalised for Father’s Day and include a message of your choice on them. For the dad that needs all of the above we created the fabulous ‘Father’s Day Hamper. That way dad will be spoilt for choice.
The perfect present to make the father figure in your life smile this Father’s Day.
